Wavin UK is a member of the Wavin Group – the world leader in plastic pipe systems for residential, non-residential and civil engineering projects. We provide effective solutions for the essential needs of daily life: safe distribution of drinking water; sustainable management of rainwater and waste water; energy-efficient heating and cooling for buildings.
We were established in 1955 by Dutch water company WMO and our head office is in Zwolle in the Netherlands. We have a direct presence in 25 European countries with 40 manufacturing sites, employ 5,500 people and have annual revenues of around €1.2 billion.
We have four main manufacturing sites in the UK and one in Balbriggan, near Dublin. Doncaster, Chippenham and Balbriggan manufacture our plastic products whilst Hazlehead and Forest Works produce clay pipes and fittings.
We also own the Warmafloor business located in Fareham. Across all of our sites in the UK and Ireland we employ more than 1,200 people.
Wavin became part of the Mexichem Group, the global leader in pipe systems and petrochemicals, in 2012. This was a natural synergy given Mexichem’s product range, geographical presence and vast experience (over 50 years!) within the industry.
With a continuous presence on the Mexican Stock Exchange, Mexichem has operations in more than 30 countries and commercial operations in more than 90. Its products are marketed worldwide and generate sales of more than $5,000 million annually. In acquiring the Wavin Group, Mexichem were able to capitalise on their European presence, creating a combined force not to be reckoned with!
Mexichem are a company with a conscience. They contribute significantly to the development of a number of countries by delivering an extended portfolio of products to ensure stable infrastructure, adequate housing, good telecommunications and perhaps most importantly, drinking water in Mexico, the USA, Europe, Asia, South Africa, the Middle East (Oman), and wider Latin American countries.
Their mission is to transform chemicals and petrochemicals into products, services, and solutions generating continuous value for our employees, partners, clients, and stockholders and helping improve peoples’ quality of life.
This is supported by their vision which is to be respected and admired globally as a multinational chemical company oriented towards performance that promotes and contributes to human progress.
Their strong moral compass is shared by Wavin and underpinned by a Code of Ethics which is a set of fair values and respectful behaviours that all employees, irrespective of status or job title, are expected to display during their time with us.
We are a forward thinking company that invests in new product innovation and strive to be the best in everything we do. As a global manufacturing business with a strong commercial focus, we have a wide range of career opportunities for our current and potential workforce.
